Cold Brew
Cold brew - the perfect accompaniment for hot summer days

Ingredients :

We recommend using eKô Lungo coffee with its medium to light roast. Cold Brew has a mild, well-balanced and slightly citirc taste.

  • 80-100 g coarsely ground coffee (for 1 litre of water)

  • 1 litre cold water (preferably filtered)

Preparation :

  1. Grind the coffee: If possible, grind freshly and coarsely (level 8-9 / 10).

This is important so that the coffee does not become bitter.

  2. Pour into the French Press: Pour the coffee into the coffee maker. Add water: Pour in cold water and stir well until the ground coffee is completely wet.

  3. Cover and leave to brew: Put the lid on, but do not lower the lid. Leave to infuse for 8 to 10 hours in the fridge (the colder it is, the longer it may take). Tip: do not place in the fridge door. The movement may extract unwanted aromas.

  4. Pressing: After the infusion time, press the plunger slowly and pour into a nice glass bottle, for example.

  5. Serving: Cold brew is best enjoyed over ice or diluted with water or milk (e.g. oat milk). Cold brew is more concentrated than normal coffee.
